Dr. Søren Hein

Søren leads MIG’s deep tech investment efforts. He brings over 20 years of experience in the VC industry to the table, having led numerous investments and exit transactions throughout Europe and North America. Prior to joining MIG in 2016, the native Dane co-founded Compound Disk Drives, a startup that developed a novel electric motor for hybrid vehicles. Before that, he was a Partner at Doughty Hanson Technology Ventures for ten years and he was the CTO of the Wireless Systems business unit at Infineon.
Søren holds a Ph.D. in electrical engineering and computer science from UC Berkeley and an MBA from INSEAD.
In his spare time, you will find Søren competing at high-level Bridge tournaments, or writing algorithmic code.
