Matthias Guth

Matthias is an expert on medical technology. He joined MIG in 2007 and with his years of experience in corporate finance and venture capital Matthias has contributed substantially to the development of the MIG portfolio. He was instrumental in the development and the exits of several portfolio companies.
Before his time at MIG, Matthias built up the life sciences sector at Goetzpartners, and while at Spitzmüller AG he supported more than 60 technology companies in obtaining public funding for their product innovations. He has also shared this expertise in financing and funding since 2008 as a coach of High-Tech Gründerfonds and Seedfonds Bayern, and he is a co-author of the “Venture Capital Handbook”.
Matthias studied mechanical engineering at RWTH Aachen University, where he specialized in medical technology.
When Matthias needs a break from investing in the latest technologies, he likes to sail his 60-year-old wooden boat.
